I will join you on your adventure to ensure everything goes smoothly and to lead you right to the best shopping experiences. I’m a very experienced shopper and traveller and will design the best itinerary for you to ensure you enjoy a brilliant retail experience in the US. I’ll create your trip based on when you want to travel, what you want to buy and your budget. I will arrange everything including plane tickets, your accommodation, discount voucher booklets, your very own stylist appointment, your travel insurance and local transport so you just need to make your shopping wish list and bring an empty suitcase.
I first enjoyed the unexpected, amazing shopping experience of the USA in San Francisco in December 2005. I was on my way home to Australia from completing my Masters in Tourism overseas and the round-trip ticket took me to California. Just in time to do my Christmas shopping for my family and friends. Not only did I discover items I'd never seen in Oz but the prices were astounding. Only one third of what us Aussies have to pay for cosmetics, perfumes, clothes, shoes, handbags, homewares, books, pretty much everything! Thank goodness the suitcases were also about half price.
Since that somewhat accidental shopping trip I've been back to the USA for shopping holidays every couple of years and I've discovered the best cities, precincts and outlets. The standouts are New York, Las Vegas and Honolulu and especially at big sale times like Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving). To a lesser extent Chicago, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles and driving down the Californian coast to some neat bespoke places like Carmel By The Sea, Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz.
